Why rooftop beats indoor CPE

NYC building envelopes eat 15–25 dB of RSRP before the signal reaches a windowsill modem. A rooftop panel skips that penalty entirely and adds another ~15 dB of link budget through directional gain — a 30–40 dB improvement in practice.

The narrow 18° beam also rejects interference from adjacent sectors, keeping SINR high even in downtown clusters where indoor CPE floors out.
